That was the finding of a BMG poll of 1,016 voters that I commissioned, reported by the Sunday Express in June 2017. I based the questions on the ten concerns I heard most often from parents, grandparents and young voters on the doorstep. 45 per cent pointed to a lack of parental support, and many blamed problems the SNP government was directly responsible for, including class sizes, funding (35 per cent) and failings in the Curriculum for Excellence (34 per cent). After ten years in office, the SNP had no concrete plan to tackle any of them.
